The drop!
The second activity at camp this year was abseiling. I have never abseiled before and am terrified of heights. Everyone went before me and people were really brave and encouraging when they abseiled down the steep face. However, when I got to the top I could feel my palms sweating, my body became really hot and my head dizzy… I really didn’t want to do it I was nervous and frightened! However, I could hear voices below shouting ''you can do it Miss Boden!'' So I looked at Huw and knew I needed to be strong for him and after positioning my feet ‘comfortably’ on the edge, we were off!
Going down wasn’t as scary as being at the top. After a few steps you do settle in to it and dare I say… enjoy it! I am not saying that I would do it again though!
